STAGE LIGHTING GOALS MAY BE OBTAINED BY USING THE CONTROLLABLE DIMENSIONS OF LIGHT
Color: Considered to be the most important element for dramatic stage lighting, coloration using gel material placed in front of the lamp provides an artist palet to paint in some aspect of each of the goals and primarily to set the mood.
Intensity: The amount of light, from a dim glow to a blinding burst, covers a host of technical and dramatic requirements. It is the factor that most impacts the success of all the other lighting concepts.
Coverage: How much light, and where it illuminates from. Translated, what fixtures are used; how many fixtures are used; and where they are positioned.
